The Leaders of the Future Conference 2020 Disrupt or be Disrupted will explore changes in the OP sector and the wider environment. Speed of technology, sustainability and the circular economy and innovation will be discussed and debated. Mark Shayler, Founder, This is Ape & Founding Partner, The Do Lecturers

Mark helps big companies think like small ones and small companies think like big ones. He works on innovation of products, services and business models; he works on sustainability and company purpose; and he coaches businesses and individuals. He has saved his clients in excess of £120 million per annum through environmental improvements, has increased sales of products by 8000% by introducing circular economy business models and trained over 2000 people in sustainability.  He has worked for Nike, Coca-Cola, Seedlip, Unilever, Hotpoint, Samsung, John Lewis, Fenwick, Teapigs, Bacardi, Diageo, Mars, Thorntons, 3M, Amazon, Panasonic and hundreds of funky little businesses like Propercorn, Teapigs, Hiut Denim, and Ugly Drinks. He was a lead for the RSA Great Recovery programme of Circular Economy and was once the Head of Environment for ASDA. He is a Founding Partner of the Do Lectures and author of the book Do Disrupt. His new book Do Present is due out in 2020.

Nicky Pattinson

Maybe Nicky Pattinson isn’t quite what you’d expect. Known for her humour and unusual understanding of what makes humans connect with others – and what makes some of us invisible to most no matter how hard we try. She learned her unusual craft running one of the country’s most successful market trading businesses.(The kind of market that sell eggs and fabric that is. Not the city of London). After an eventful life she now modifies the magic that kept the crowds stood in the queue and applies the advanced connection and expression concepts to some of the country’s most known and even corporate organisations.

What she does is so powerful, it’s really not unusual for some to double retail takings overnight, treble add on sales and get professionals and lawyers into offices they never thought they’d get to sit in! This is a must for everyone in any kind of business who wants to as she says…BE SOMEONE. Don’t miss it.


Steve Horne, Chief Executive Officer, SPOT Group

Steve Horne joined the Spicers-OfficeTeam (SPOT) Group in March of 2019, from Euro Car Parts Group Limited where he was Chief Operating Officer, and he has previously held senior roles in Unipart Automotive and Wickes Building Supplies. Steve brings extensive experience in sales, successfully growing businesses organically, through M&A and by new channel development. He is also very experienced in supply chain and business transformation.  Steve most definitely brings to the table years of experience and has a keen desire to always add value and deliver growth.

Through trading their direct channels such as Euroffice and partnering with resellers through Office Power, over the last decade, group revenues have grown from £18m to £50m. As well as Chairing the BOSS Federation, Simon is the Chairman of 15Gifts, a TMT focused software business in Brighton. He has a Henley MBA.
